It’s with great sadness we announce the passing of mother, grandmother,
wife, sister and friend; Shirley Letnes (nee Harris-Suttle).
Shirley was born in Galahad, Alberta. She moved to the Bulkley Valley in
the early 1960’s with her parents. Shirley worked for many years for Ken
and Kathy Kwan at the Twin Valley Inn, where she made many friends. After
obtaining her business management diploma from NWCC she moved to Terrace to
work for Isotani Engineering which was the company that built the Skeena
Cellulose Mill. She later returned to Smithers opening her craft store,
Cache Homemade Crafts and worked for BV Taxi; this is where she met her
husband Bill Letnes. Shirley and Bill moved to Sedley, SK in 2003.
Shirley will be sadly missed by her husband Bill Letnes; son Cache (Kim)
Harris; daughter Brandi Kimberley (Darrell Gordon); granddaughter Ashley
Calla; sisters Bev (Harold) Halliday and Deanna Carrothers, nieces, nephews
as well as many friends.
