The family of Svend Pedersen regret to announce his passing in the Prince George hospital on May 13, 2014 with family by his side.

Svend and his twin sister Ketty, were born on January 12, 1928 to Ingeborg and Kardia Pedersen in Horsens, Denmark. In 1951 Svend immigrated to Canada to work on a farm in Manitoba. During his time in Quesnel, he worked for Graham Construction and B.C Forestry Service. He eventually went into business for himself selling and installing swimming pools and doing general carpentry around Quesnel until his retirement in 1993.

Svend met Margaret Lyne and her daughters in 1979 and they soon became a family. Marg and Svend travelled to many places in their 35 years together, including Mexico, the Cook Islands and the Western U.S.A.

Svend was a master marksman, exceptional curler, enjoying all sports. He was a teller of jokes and a lover of a good story, cold beer or a dark rum and coke.
