Tim Wittner was born on November 3, 1962 in Golden, BC. His childhood was spent in the Okanagan and, in his teens, he moved to the Coast. There he met and married Charmane and they had two children, James and Jennifer. They lived in the Lower Mainland for the next 20 years. He spent 16 of those years working at Ainsworth Lumber Mill as glueman and spareman. In 2002 the mill closed down and they moved to Quesnel, B.C. to pursue building a business with his parents.

Tim loved living in Quesnel. Having always enjoyed hunting and fishing, he reveled in being able to pursue these sports practically in his own backyard. He hunted moose and deer and fished the small, nameless lakes packed with trout. Occasionally he would go back to the Coast to hook salmon on the Fraser and would bring home 30

pounders, which he would cook up with the talent of a true chef. Friday nights he would barbeque specially marinated moose steak. A dedicated vintner, he tapped the birch trees for sap to add Birch Wine to his ever-growing repetoire of homemade wines. He loved snowmobiling and would volunteer to monitor the trails for the Dog Sled Mail Run.

Tim was a quiet, gentle man, a family man with a sense of humor who loved to tease and play. He was a hard worker and a talented handyman. His faith in Jesus grew strong in the face of overwhelming odds. He valiantly fought his battle with cancer with courage and hope and never complained. On July 21, 2010, at home, he forfeited the fight and passed peacefully into eternity.

Tim was loved by all of us who knew him and his death has left a huge hole in our lives; we look forward to seeing him in Heaven. We are very grateful for the love and support we received from family and friends and also our Northstar Church family throughout his illness and since his death.

We are also grateful to the naturopathic and medical community for all they did in their efforts to help Tim and to ease his pain.

Thank you so much. May God bless you all.

Tim is survived by his wife Charmane, his son James, his daughter Jennifer (Vicente), his parents, Dennis and Kathleen Wittner and his brothers; Rick (Jackie) and Ted (Kathy) and by all his loving relatives on both sides.
