Tracey passed away peacefully, on July 3, 2009 at Kelowna General Hospital, surrounded by her loving family. She is survived by her sons, Darcy Parker & Jared Jackson, mother Marilee O’Neil (Gerry), father Wayne McClelland (Brenda) siblings Tammy and Scott McClelland, grandparents Ken and Leah McClelland and Lorene Harris Rome, Uncles Bob Harris and Barry McClelland (Patricia) and niece, Pearl McClelland. Tracey was born in Quesnel, with the family subsequently moving to Prince George for a number of years before returning to Quesnel. She attended Lakeview, Maple Drive and Quesnel Secondary schools. She married Les Parker in 1988.

She lived the majority of her adult life in Prince George, marrying Patrick Jackson in 1993 and moved to Lethbridge for a time. Returning to Prince George, she worked as a hairdresser, and in later years took training to work with youth as a teacher’s aide, and with disabled individuals as a care worker.

Tracey loved the outdoors, especially being by the water and enjoying the sunshine. She looked forward to family gatherings, and especially time spent at the family cabin on Dragon Lake. She will be remembered for her love of music, her poetry, her lively spirit, her sense of humor, her laughter and her loving heart. Tracey is free to fly with her angels now and all of us who love her so much will hold her gently in our hearts forever. There will be no service at her request, and a family celebration of her life will be held at a later date.
