January 1, 1918 - June 10, 2020
On June 10, 2020, Mr. William (Bill) Fedoruk of Oliver passed away at 102 years.
Born in Saskatchewan on January 1, 1918. He worked on the CNR for many years, gold mined in Costa Rica, the Yukon and Quesnel.
Bill also logged, fixed and welded heavy equipment all over BC and his first wife Betty cooked in the camps he worked in for many years before her passing. He lived in the lower mainland, Blue River, Quesnel, Chase and Galiano Island.
He had an amazing sense of humour, strong Christian faith, a love of nature and poetry. Bill was a classy gentleman with a strong arm and spiritual soul.
Bill was married to his first wife Betty. His first and last love, Marie Swallow was a long-lost love story that would bring many to tears. They got together in their 80's before Marie passed away and Bill was heartbroken. His dearest friend Mikie was always there to help him pick up the pieces along with Marie's sister Ann and Ann's son Ken.
He was generous, kind, funny, always had a story to tell, with a moral ending.
Bill Fedoruk was a treasure and will be sadly missed.
