It is with deep sadness that the family of Bill Kazimirchuk announces his sudden passing.

Bill will be sadly missed by his wife, Phyllis, children Linda (Larry), Trevor (Sheila), Janis (Alex), stepchildren Garry (Sonja), Gordon (Candace), Dan, grandchildren Lance (Brittanie), Alysha, Teresa (Andy), Travis, Taylor, Jessamyn (Sandy), Robyn, Ricki, Greg, Stacey, Connie, brothers Andy (Pat), Vic, Ted, George (Annette), sisters Mary, Anne (Les), many great grandchildren, brother and sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews and friends.

Bill was predeceased by his parents, brother Dan and sisters Betty, Ruth and Martha.

Bill was born in Vernon, BC, the 6th of 11 children. In his teens he moved to Vancouver Island and worked in the forest industry. He moved to Three Valley Gap and back to Vernon, where his daughter Linda and son Trevor were born. The family moved to Alexandria then to Quesnel in 1961. Bill worked as a carpenter for Weldwood for 25 years.

He met his second wife Phyllis in Quesnel and married in 1979. Bill loved music and was self taught on the guitar, mandolin and the accordion, which was his favourite instrument. He played in may bands and loved to jam. He always brought his accordion to family gatherings and would sit in the background and play to everyone’s enjoyment. Bill was inducted into the Quesnel Entertainer Hall of Fame in 2008. He loved his family, music, was a soft spoken gentle giant and will be sadly missed, but not forgotten.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to all of our extended family and friends for their support and kindness during this difficult time. Thank you to Dr. Aziz, Dr. Casses, Dr. Tiede and the nursing staff in both Quesnel and Prince George for all your care and kindness. Thank you to the staff of Clayton’s Funeral Home for all your caring assistance and thoughtfulness.
