William Leslie McTaggart

April 17, 2005

William Leslie McTaggart passed away on April 17, 2005 at G.R. Baker Memorial Hospital in Quesnel, B.C. after a short battle with cancer.

William was born in Mission, B.C. on October 26, 1927. He attended school in Victoria and became a logger for the Elder Logging Camp at Muir Creek. He later joined the Canadian Puget Sound Logging Company in Jordan River.

He moved his family to Quesnel, B.C. in 1977, gaining employment at Cariboo Pulp & Paper until his retirement in 1993.

William is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Jane, sister Doris Anstey of Sidney, daughters Janet (Peter) McCrea of Quesnel, Penny (Les) Hillard of Port Renfrew, Lesley (Walter) Poh of Abbotsford and son Kelly (Alissa) McTaggart, of Quesnel, 8 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.

A devoted parent, the twinkle in his eye and quirky sense of humour will be sadly missed by all members of his family.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Canadian Cancer Society in his name.
