It is with great sadness the family of William Mark Clarke announce his passing at GR Baker Memorial Hospital in Quesnel BC, on Monday December 5th 2016 peacefully with his family by his side..

Will was born August 12,1959 in Victoria BC.

He is survived by his mother Maureen Clarke, his dad W.A.(Bill) Clarke of Quesnel, sister Shannon Scott (Bob) Quesnel, brother Dan Clarke, North Vancouver, sisters Judi McGee and Karen Clarke, Kelowna, as well as nieces and nephews Çhelsea Scott (Percy) and baby daughter Tula, Sandspit BC, David Scott, and children Isabella and Tony, Houston BC, Michael Clarke (Olga), North Vancouver, Lindsay Clarke (Javier), Whistler BC, Jennifer Macabeo (Mark), Los Angeles, also special long time friends Ruth Nicol and Dawn Stadel.

He will be fondly remembered for his giving heart and caring soul and unconventional sense of humor which amused, befuddled and entertained people wherever he went.

Billy graduated from Correlieu Sr. Secondary in 1977.

His first job after school was at Safeway in Quesnel in 77 and his last job was with Arrow Transportation in Quesnel 2016. In between he attended Malaspina College and Simon Fraser Univerisity to persue a passion for learning, journalism and politics as well as literature studies in England. As a result he collected and retained newspapers, magazines and publications for over 30 years. Moving was hell! His other great love was anything with wheels. That translated into a 30+ year career driving all manner of cars, trucks and big rigs all over North America. From driving classic cars with lots of leather to Greatful Dead concerts to taking aging family members and friends on ‘Driving Miss Daisy’ odysseys to obscure and entertaining locations.

A celebration of his life is planned for spring 2017 details will be announced later.

In lieu of flowers donations to bccancerfoundation.com or Quesnel SPCA would be appreciated.
