In loving memory ~

William Clarence Parr (Bill) passed away Feb 20, 2025 at age 87 in Kelowna BC related to a head injury. Bill was born and raised near Bonneville Alberta. Due to his father's illness the family moved to Canoe, BC where the family ran the community store. The family later moved to Quesnel where they farmed and ran a small logging outfit.

Bill left school at 14 to work at Weldwood, a local plywood plant where he got an apprenticeship as a Millwright. He continued to work in Forestry until his retirement from the Armstrong Plywood Mill in 1993. After retirement he helped his daughter and son in law, delivering roof trusses in Quesnel.

Bill married Juanita Christianson in 1960 and together they raised two children. Bill participated in many activities including, golfing, hockey, curling and bowling and in his later days singing in choirs. He was a member of the Legion and Sons of Norway. He and Juanita also traveled in their retirement.

Bill is predeceased by his wife Juanita in 2020, just after their 60th anniversary, his parents Cyril and Naomi Parr and brothers Frank Parr and Fred Parr. He is survived by his brother Richard Parr (Herbert, Sask), his children, Louanne Ohlhauser (Keith), Russel Parr (Mary), grandchildren: Jonathan Ohlhauser, Dr. Lisa Ohlhauser (Devan), Brittany Parr, Kristen Wagantall (Shaun), Hailey Lalonde (Christopher) and great grandchildren, Danica and Lauren Wagantall and Natalie and Ehva Lalonde.

A memorial service will be held on March 14, 2025 at 1 p.m. at the Pleasant Valley Funeral home in Vernon. Those wishing to join by Zoom contact please Louanne for details.
