Big Brothers Big Sisters of Quesnel says time to tee off for the kids

Bigs and littles enjoyed a day in Barkerville.

It is time to register for the 5th Annual Golf for Kids Sake, at Richbar Golf and Gardens on Aug. 13 with a shotgun start at 1 p.m.

The golfer’s registration fee is $100 which includes green fees and dinner.  Players who collect more than $250 in pledges will enter in a draw for a regular scheduled flight on West Jet for two anywhere in North America.

Bigs and Littles  visited Barkerville June 25.   Everyone enjoyed the ride to Barkerville on the Gold Pan City Stage Lines.  The highlights of the day were the Theatre Royale Gold Rush Revue V1 variety show, the stagecoach ride and gold panning.   This group activity was made possible by funding from the RCMP Foundation.

The Annual Rob Williamson Poker Ride was a great success.  Everyone enjoyed the trail ride and the Mr. Mike’s hamburgers.

Thank you to Triple J, North Cariboo Growers Co-Op and other local businesses for donating prizes, Cariboo Observer, Mr Mike’s, Circle S Western Wear and all the volunteers and participants.

The winner of the saddle that was donated by the Co-Op was Nola Marceau.  The winner of the riding coat donated by Circle S Western Wear was Rob Sullivan.
