Kudos to the young men that are taking the initiative to clean up the skate park.
I am proud to hear they are taking responsibility for the space they wish to use (see Sept. 2, 2011 page 3.)
Too often young people get blamed and criticized for vandalism and destruction, then in turn blame parents, society and those in authority for their problems.
That is not the case here! It is refreshing to see this initiative taking place and I do hope this community will pitch in and support the endeavor.
Let us enable safe use of this park and in turn keep these young adults encouraged. They are doing something positive.
This is an example of what community should be; doing one’s part in maintaining the workability, safety, cleanliness and beauty of and in one’s town.
