LETTER: City should move quicker to repair Quesnel’s Johnston Bridge

I haven’t seen anything lately regarding the repairs needed to the bridge to the Johnston Subdivision for quite a while.

I think we need to start bothering those in charge of making the decisions about such things, and not accept any explanations that don’t answer the hard questions.

This debacle has resulted in a residential street being turned into a trucking route, and the resulting street damage is being ignored. There has been quite a bit of money found for various projects in the city as well as outside the city that are far less important to the well being of the city than getting the bridge fixed.
