Editor,
An open letter to Quesnel mayor Bob Simpson, council and city employees,
I have lived in many towns and cities and have never lived in a better-run city than Quesnel under the leadership of the present mayor and council. The city employees have always been polite and helpful any time I have called so I consider myself lucky to live in Quesnel.
Our present leadership has a “can do attitude” instead of a “can’t do attitude,” which is shown in the many upgrades to the city, especially in the rejuvenation of Reid Street to a more pedestrian-friendly downtown core.
In our society, we don’t always get our own way, but by taking part in the planning and then helping to make things happen, we can have a city to be proud of.
Keep up the good work and thanks to all.
Norm Garreau
