I am writing you to inform you of a campaign that is taking place in our local town of Quesnel.
United Way of Northern BC is running their Period Promise Campaign from Friday, May 27 to Friday, June 10.
This campaign is geared to bring awareness to period poverty women are facing today and how we can support those in our community.
It has been found that there is a significant number of people who menstruate that go without being able to afford period products. United Way of Northern BC’s Period Promise will help support these individuals and RBC is proud to be a part of that which is why we are one of the three drop-off locations in town.
A person can also drop off period products at Safeway and Save-On-Foods. Here is the link to the campaign and drop-off locations https://www.unitedwaynbc.ca/period-promise/
At the end of the campaign, the products will be delivered to Amata Transition House right here in Quesnel to help support our locals, which is exciting to see.
