Public scrutiny the only way to go

Taxpayers deserve the truth and public disclosure on all financial issues

Editor:

It is apparent to all that we have a divisive Council who seem unable to operate as a team.

Yes, one expects differences from time to time that is democracy which we operate under.

But when division centres around public finances, that is a different situation and one in which taxpayers are entitled to be told exactly where the city finances stand project by project.

I suggest that Council publish all relevant information regarding city finances so voters have a clear understanding as to where they stand.

Public scrutiny will clear the air and voters can make up their own minds which side of the fence they are on.
