With the help of the city, the lawn bowling club has come up with the funds needed to give their clubhouse a fresh coat of paint.
“We’re trying to maintain the appearance of the park by maintaining the appearance of the building,” Claude Mercereau, President of the club, said.
With the help of Jeff Norburn, the club was able to make a formal agreement with the city, which allowed the club to apply for the funding.
The club received $3,200 in funding to repaint the clubhouse.
The unseasonable weather had delayed the painting, but a few nice days last week allowed the club to get it finished in time to host the Prince George club.
