CURLING SUPERLEAGUE: A&W bullies CDC, DLE doubles BBC

A&W bullies the CDC gang and DLE returns to form and double up on Billy Barker

There was no blood spilled on sheet A, but the A&W crew did more than put salt on the fries Wednesday night as they played like bullies on the playground against the kids from the Child Development Centre.

A&W pushed the CDC gang around from end to end, stealing three in the first, two in the second and three more in the third to take an early 8-0 lead.

CDC fought back to collect three points of their own, but decided enough was enough and shook hands in the fifth end.

No pouting was reported.

The Handi Self-Storage crew were not feeling so dandy this week in their match against Cariboo Pulp over on sheet B.

Compared to last week, it looked like skip Candy along with teammates Sandy, Randy and Mandy, left their game in storage and watched Cariboo Pulp sweep for two in the eighth end to pick up their first win of the season.

Over on sheet C, Douglas Lake Equipment appeared no worse for wear from last week’s loss to the Handi crew as they doubled up on the one-armed bandit gang 6-3.

The Billy Barker Casino crew could not find Lady Luck and couldn’t overcome a solid performance by the Kubota kids.

Service Electric put the charge in the ice on sheet D and cleared off the counter as they handed Karin’s Deli a 5-0 loss with plenty of mustard.

Service Electric counted one in the first end, then stole singles in the second, third and fourth ends.

Looking to cut into the lead, Karin’s Deli blanked the fifth end to hold on to hammer.

Unfortunately, the plan backfired in the sixth end when Service Electric stole yet another single point.

The Deli crew took off their mittens and therewere handshakes all around.

The win puts Service Electric atop the standing with a perfect 3-0 record.

Over on sheet E,the Investor’s Group were doubled by the JAR Transport crew.

The result surprised both teams and left them speechless.
