CURLING SUPERLEAGUE Billy Barker, Fraser River GM and Macro squash competition

Several teams in the Quesnel Curling Superleague had an easy time with their competition Wednesday night.

Several teams in the Quesnel Curling Superleague had an easy time with their competition Wednesday night.

On sheet A, the wild Brady bunch from the Billy Barker Casino solidified second place in Superleague standings by deep-frying the A&W like a batch of fries in a short-order game.

Papa bear couldn’t find the draw weight to let the casino gang control the game for an easy 9-2 win.

Over on sheet C, the Investor’s Group foursome had an easy game against the Douglas Lake Equipment foursome, as they continued their winning ways in a game that saw some outstanding shot-making both early and late in the game.

Investor’s bested the DLE squad 11-6.

In another lopsided game, the foursome from Fraser River GM drove right through the JAR Transport crew for a 6-1 win on sheet D.

The GM tire-kickers started by taking a single point in the first, then put the pedal to the

metal and rolled

over JAR Transport who shook hands after six ends.

On sheet F, Macro Industries sliced and shaved their way through the Karin’s Deli squad on their way to a 5-1 win.

Steve, the paperback writer with skill in several sports, was seeing red as he threw a double takeout and rolled under cover to solidify the win for Macro.

On sheet C, the Babcon foursome also treated themselves to a fun time as they brought the Centerline Collision foursome back to earth with a crash in a 7-2 win.

Babcon had a great start as they swept to a 3-0 lead after just two ends.

Centerline got one point back in the third end, but after that the Babcon Group team stayed on track to record the win.

On sheet B, the Cariboo Pulp and Paper squad faced the gang from the Children’s Development Centre in what proved to be a squeaker of a game.

Tied 5-5 going into the last end, it took a spectacular shot through a gap to propel the Pulp and Paper sweepers to a 6-5 win over the CDC squad who promptly took a nap after the game.
