It could have been the media spotlight, or it just could have been one of those nights for the front-running Billy Barker Casino foursome.

A win would have clinched the 2010-2011 title for the card dealers, but the CDC crew saw through their bluff to deal themselves an easy 7-2 win.

A&W kept their playoff hopes on the front burner with an 8-6 win over Investor’s Group.  A&W started by stealing three in the fourth to take a 4-2 lead.  Both teams traded points until the tenth end when Investor’s ran out of rocks.

The Billy Barker loss and win by CDC and A&W sets up an exciting finish to the Curling Superleague season as all three teams now sit with 3-1 records.

On sheet A, the Macro Industries crew, without Dr. Baker there to inflict pain on Cariboo Pulp, or on his own team, managed to freeze their way to a hard earned 8-4 win.

JAR Transportation took advantage of the Karin’s Deli crew on sheet B, counting two in the first end and kept stealing including a steal of four in the sixth end to lead by 10-2.  Karin’s Deli conceded the game with handshakes all around.

On sheet C, team Centerline Collision got off to a good start by taking two in the first end on their way to an eventual 7-0 win.

The loss was so difficult to bare, the losing team requested anonymity.

On sheet F, DLE, last year’s darlings of the Curling Superleague scored a deuce in the first for the early lead against the Fraser River GM gang. Douglas Lake Equipment then gave up three in the second, but tallied for three in the third.

Fraser River then scored a pair to even things up, then put DLE away in the sixth end to leave the former champs with a 0-4 record in the playoffs.
