CURLING SUPERLEAGUE:A&W fries Handi, Karin’s pastes DLE

Wednesday’s Curling Superleague action on sheet A saw the A&W gang make off like little bandits in a 9-3 win over Handi Storage.

Given the overabundant self-congratulatory scrivenry from Handi-Storage in recent weeks, it was only a matter of time their pens and luck would run out.

Wednesday’s Curling Superleague action on sheet A did just that, as the A&W gang made off like little bandits, stealing singles in each of the first four ends to sweep to a 4-0 lead.

To their credit Handi Storage did make a comeback to tie the game at 5-5 in the eighth end, but A&W broke into one more container and stole a single for an extra-end 6-5 win.

On sheet D, the Karin’s Deli crew pasted the once dominant Douglas Lake Equipment foursome with a 9-3 win.

Concerned onlookers described the game as a shameful beating.  DLE did have their chances, but could not capitalize.

Despite the shellacking the DLE crew were all smiles.

On sheet B, Lady Luck winked at the Billy Barker Casino gang.

When JAR Transportation rolled up against the Casino kids, they soon realized that the deck was stacked against them.

The four aces continued to show for the Billy as they deflated all 18 wheels on the Transport.

It took just six ends for the Billy Barker Casino foursome to dispatch JAR Transport 6-1 and send them home with no back haul.

Service Electric put a charge into sheet E as they faced the Investor’s Group clan.

Service Electric charged out to an early lead, but IG took stock and tied it up in the eighth end.

In the extra end, Service Electric shorted the market and rode the wave to a 6-5 win.

On sheet C the action between Child Development Centre and Cariboo Pulp and Paper was so lacklustre it barely left an impression.

Tied at 3-3, the Pulp and Paper team snuck in for four points in the fifth end and held on for a 7-4 win.
