Douglas Lake stumps Cariboo Pulp

Curling superleague action saw Douglas Lake Equipment hand Cariboo Pulp an 8-5 loss on sheet A.

This week’s Quesnel Curling superleague action saw Douglas Lake Equipment continue their push to championship form as they handed Cariboo Pulp an 8-5 loss on sheet A.

In the feature match, the DLE Kubota boys slid to an astounding win, as DLE started slow but it was clear there was not Christmas cheer being handed out to the Pulpers.

In the sixth end all heads turned when skip Vic LeBlanc acknowledged with a Ho Ho Ho a good shot made by wobbly Dave Wawryk.

On sheet B, Child Development Centre found their good eye and read the ice perfectly in a 7-4 win over JAR Transport.

It appears that JAR entered the game with a free-wheeling plan, but unfortunately the CDC kids had been well schooled.

On sheet C, Service Electric were shocked by an 8-1 win at the hands of the Handi Self Storage foursome.

Without their electrical Jerry spark plug and with Handi Storage wearing their team colours, the big red machine lit up the  Service squad and electrified the one fan with their stellar play.

On sheet D, a hard fought game between Investors’ Group and A&W resulted in an excellent game-ending hit and roll for two for a 5-4 win by IG.

Over on sheet E, the Billy Barker Casino crew had little to say following their 5-0 win over Karin’s Deli except they got all the breaks to steal the show.
