FORESTRY HOCKEY LEAGUE: Bear Communications claws Blue Collar, Serenity spanks GM

The Bear Cubs found grazing they liked in a 6-1 romp over Blue Collar and Serenity wins 6-2 over a stalled Fraser River GM.

The sudden meteoric climb of the mercury has obviously had an impact on the Bear Cubs as they found the grazing to their liking in a 6-1 romp over Blue Collar.

Playing his first contest in several months due to old-age like symptoms was Gord (Smoked) Salmons who scored a pair for the Bears and would have had the hat trick if Toronto had been consulted regarding a kicking motion marker that was called off.

Also notching a pair to extend his lead in the scoring race was Brody (Good) Neighbour who also drew an assist as Lee (Nitro) Naeth scored an unassisted beauty that brought tears to the eyes of many an onlooker.

The lone tally to elude Mike (Palmateer) Enemark in the Bear cage was scored by Ken (Quicksilver) McMillan who finished off a pretty three-way passing play which was few and far between for BCS on this day.

The other contest saw Serenity continue where they finished off the last time the teams met as they scored at will late in the contest in their 6-2 victory.

Leading the way for the green and blue clad Builders was Kevin (Nightrider) Hesslegrave who was quickly moved back to forward after a short and rather disastrous attempt at playing defence.

The move turned out to be just what the Doctor ordered as he scorched the Chevy D for a hat trick as Steve (Miss much) Dodge notched his first goal since the Vancouver Olympics to go with three ridiculous assists.

Despite several squandered opportunities Randy (Crafty) Crofts scored a goal and added a pair of assists as he thankfully decided to let his stick do the talking.

Replying for the GM powered unit who had tied the game at two before losing traction in the second half was (Silent) Seth Phillips who surgically removed a Serenity jock strap before rippling the mesh and Doug (Big) Mack who gobbled up a rebound before tickling the twine for his eighth of the season.

Steve Dodge is a defensive winger with Serenity Builders and an Observer Contributor.
