After being walloped in the first game of the season six zip by Bear, revenge was sweet for BCS as they triumphed in extra shots to leapfrog the Bruins into first place.

Continuing his torrid pace of late was Kevin “Nightrider” Hesslegrave, who scored a pair and assisted on George “Yosemite Sam” Paul’s first of the season.

Skating miles-and-miles for the black-clad bunch was Matt “The Punisher” Powell, who scored once, and Brian “Dominator” Domeris, who scored another from his office in the deep slot.

Forcing the shoot-out, only to be disappointed, was Jason “Firecracker” Forman, who notched another pair on his Victoriaville, while Brody “Howdy” Neighbour got off the Schneid with a goal and an assist.

Continuing his penchant for scoring highlight reel goals was Kris “Haymaker” Hayman, who extended his goal-a-game streak to match his jersey number (Four).

Meanwhile, in the standing-room-only West Fraser Barn, Serenity staged a couple of comebacks as they forced the fruitless shoot-out with only eight seconds left on the clock in the 6-6 tie versus Fraser River.

The Chevy Crew had actually roared out of the gate to quickly gain a three nothing lead as Jason “Junior” Johnson and Ian “Heartbreaker” Hannah combined for eight points on their team’s first four goals.

A one-time howitzer from Steve “Slew-foot” Dodge got Serenity on the board and Jordon “Senior” Johnson scored soon after to draw the deficit to one.

A nifty marker from Colin “Clutch” Keis tied it up before beauties from the Builders Cam “Shaft” Graham and Fraser River’s “Heartbreaker” Hannah kept the score tied at Zamboni time.

The Chevy Crew quickly forged ahead of the swooning Serenity side as “Super” Dave Penner blasted a couple of quick ones into the yawning cage. The TSN turning point occurred when an ill-timed trip to the sin-bin by the Fraser River enforcer allowed “Cam” Shaft to trim the margin in half which set the stage for “Senior” Johnson to roof a backhander as time wound down.

Both squads managed one goal in the three-player shoot-out to give them a single point apiece.
