The Blue Collar crew hits its stride as the FHL resumes.

With only one win before the Christmas break, BCS wasn’t content with a deserved lump of coal in their socks, so they decided to wish upon a star and sure enough their prayers were answered in an 8-1 romp over a lack lustre Serenity squad.

Taking advantage of a chance to play out was Mike (The Mechanic) Enemark who scored the first two markers of the game and also added 3 assists. Getting in on the action with their first goals of the season were George (John, Ringo) Paul with a pair and (Mad) Mike Ingram with the all important Ocho marker. Continuing his hot streak was Nathan (The Last) Strand, who potted a pair as well.

The Clash of the Titans game once again saw a short staffed GM team put up a heroic effort only to lose 5-2 to Bear.

Bear was lead by Chad (The Comet) Swanson, who scored two and added a pair of helpers as the defensive dynamo duo of (Silent) Seth Phillips and Scott (Little Softy) Fairless combined for two goals and three assists from their rear guard positions. Scoring in his second consecutive game for Fraser River after a dozen with zero, was Budd (Crash) Carter who was one of the few GM players relishing their 58 minutes of ice time.

Nobody believed BCS was as bad as their record showed and now is the time for them to prove it as a 4-3 victory over Bear gives them a share of third place with a Builder Bunch who are trending in the opposite direction.

Scoring like an old Tiger Williams in his Black #22 jersey was Brody (Good) Neighbour with a pair of dazzlers as Nathan (Nuclear) Strand and Kevin (Nightrider) Hesslegrave added singletons. Bear, who was missing several regulars due to Caribbean vacations, relied on (Not so Silent) Seth Phillips who let his stick do the talking with a couple of beauties.

The Chevy Crew, arriving in newly minted Corvettes, stung Serenity early and often in the 7-2 walkover.

The Speedy Gonzalez tandem of Ian Hannah (Banana) and Ken (Quicksilver) McMillan with twin hat tricks lead GM as Randy (Crafty) Crofts dished out 4 assists from his cherry picking position.
