A Quesnel team won the C-event of the coveted Kelly Cup held annually in Prince George. “Twenty-four teams competed in this prestigious event,” said Quesnel Curling Centre manager Dave Plant. “Team Nillson were winners of the C-event. Well done, guys.”

Sunday’s smoke was no match for the hope inspired each year by the Terry Fox Run. The Quesnel Rotary Club led the organization for this year’s event at LeBourdais Park on Sept. 17. There was the popular mass start at 10 a.m. for walkers, runners, joggers, strollers, wheelers, and even some on-leash barkers, who altogether raised $17,000 for cancer causes.
