Kevin Martin, Brier and Olympic curling champion is in Quesnel Saturday and Sunday.
Saturday, Martin is at 378 Kinchant for the grand opening of the new H&R Block offices, from 1 – 4 p.m.
H&R Block is also using the occasion to support its Help Block Hunger program, a joint partnership with the Salvation Army.
Kim Manning, office manager with H&R Block asks visitors coming to meet Martin bring a non-perishable food item or make a cash donation.
“We will match donations up to $5,000.”
Sunday morning, from 9 – 10 a.m. Martin will be at the Quesnel Curling Club to sign autographs and answer questions.
“The price of admission is a non-perishable food item for the food bank,” manager of the Quesnel Curling Club, Dave Plante said.
