Lawn Care team leads Curling Sponsor League standings

Quesnel’s Wednesday night Sponsor League continued Feb. 28 at the Quesnel Curling Rink with some stiff competition.

Sky-Hi Scaffolding played Century 21 in a close game, with Sky-Hi putting together a couple of steals to go three up.

Century 21 returned with a four-ender, to turn the score around but Sky-Hi answered with a four-ender of its own to gain control of the game once more and win 7-5.

In Karin’s Deli & Health Foods versus Quesnel Lawn Care, Karin’s got the lead in the first four ends.

Quesnel Lawn Care cam back with four, but Karin’s took the lead in the sixth and seventh to win 9-4.

And in Service Electric versus Billy Barker Casino, Service Electric got out to a quick start with steals in the first three ends, to go up 4-0.

Billy closed the gap to 4-2 after five, but the game ended in 6-2 for Service Electric.

Quesnel Lawn Care leads the rankings for the league, with nine wins, five losses and one tie so far this season.

In second is Service Electric, with nine wins, seven losses and one tie; and tied in third are Billy Barker Casino and Child Development Centre, each with eight wins, six losses and one tie.

Coming in fourth is Century 21 (eight wins, seven losses, one tie); fifth is Ski-Hi Scaffolding (seven wins, nine losses); and sixth is Karin’s Deli & Health Foods (three wins, 12 losses, one tie).

The league begins playoffs this week.
