Coy Cup tickets are on sale now, but only the tournament passes. Those get you into all eight games for BC Hockey’s Senior AA Amateur Hockey championship, they guarantee you your chosen seat, and they save you money on tickets purchased at the door.
There are only two ways to get a Coy Cup pass: buy them at a Quesnel Kangaroos home game, or set a meeting with team ticket boss Riley Tomassetti.
The seats are already being plentifully blacked out on the seating chart for West Fraser Centre where the games will be held from March 28 to April 1.
The very first available homestand for the host Kangaroos saw a quick rush, even though the tournament was months away at that time.
“The lineup was quite crazy. We sold more than 50 packages over those first two games,” said Tomassetti. There have been more home games since then, “and people are calling me to arrange a meeting so they can choose their seats and make that purchase.”
Those who buy packages get to select the seats they will sit in for the duration of the tournament – eight games spanning Tuesday to Saturday.
“Individual game tickets will only be available at the door,” said Tomessetti. “They will be a bit pricier compared to the ticket package, so you do save money if you buy the tournament pass.”
Adults will be $15 at the door, whereas the pre-purchased adult tournament pass amounts to $10 per game. A similar discount is in effect for children and seniors.
“Individual game tickets will be first-come first-served, so if the arena is full, and honestly, for Coy Cup, that is a possibility, then that’s it, we’re sold out,” Tomassetti warned.
