Pro wrestling was recently in Quesnel with local grapplers taking to the ring at Ann’s Parish Hall in front of a raucous crowd.
Monster Pro Wrestling (MPW) presented its bout ‘Out of Control’ on Saturday, Aug. 20.
The show opened at 7 p.m., starting with a triple threat match between Mason Mayhem of Cold Lake, Alta., Lil Blay of Windsor, N.S. and Prankster Pete from parts unknown.
The match was won by Mayhem.
Two local wrestlers were on the card, including Williams Lake’s Stu Krool (Stuart McLellan) and Quesnel’s Rebel Knoxville, who both began training to become wrestlers during the pandemic.
Krool was defeated in the MPW provincial championship by Massive Damage.
The crowd went wild when Knoxville made his grand entrance and loudly booed his challenger Blake Kannon who would ultimately defeat him.
The second half of the pro wrestling rundown saw MPW heavyweight champion Wrath keep his title after defeating Mighty K.C. via a disqualification.
In an immediate tag team match, Wrath and Knoxville joined forces to trounce K.C. and Kannon.
MPW promised fans they’ll be more scrappiness in Quesnel when they return next month.
