Add another award to Jack Henderson’s season. The Quesnel-born Osoyoos Coyotes forward has been named the KIJHL’s top forward for February.

Henderson picked up 21 points in 10 games for the ‘yotes, leading them into the playoffs, and past the Princeton Posse in the first round of the KIJHL’s playoffs.

“Prior to the playoffs, Henderson had two three-point games in which he had two goals and an assist against the North Okanagan Knights on Feb. 9 and netted a hat-trick against the Posse on Feb. 18,” the league’s website reads.

Henderson, who is also an assistant captain for the Coyotes, led the KIJHL in scoring during the regular season, racking up 65 points in 40 games for Osoyoos.

It wasn’t just a junior B schedule for the Quesnel player in the 2021/2022 season. Henderson played four games for the Merritt Centennials of the BCHL, picking up a goal and an assist as an affiliated player (AP) for the junior A club in four games.

The Coyotes will play the Summerland Steam in the second round of the playoffs, with the series kicking off on Friday, March 4.
