The Quesnel Lightning Creek Ski Club hosted the Nancy Greene North Zone Festival at Troll Ski Resort on Mar. 10-11.

The Ski the North Festival saw five clubs represented in the fun activities – Smithers, Williams Lake, Prince George, Powder King and Quesnel’s Lightning Creek Ski Club (LCSC).

The events included a dual slalom race, speed trap, jump, Kombi obstacle course, and the moguls.

Some 106 racers attended the event, making for some fun and friendly competition on the slopes, says spokesperson Jennifer Boudreau.

“The weekend included many smiles and plenty of sunshine in beautiful ski conditions.”

She adds the LCSC would like to recognize and graciously thank all the volunteers and local sponsors who helped make this event a successful one.

“As well a very special thank-you to Troll Ski Resort for supporting our club, embracing our racers, and bringing smiles to everyone on the hill, you truly embody family fun!”
