Quesnel Midgets skate to a come-from-behind victory in first game of Provincials

Quesnel’s Midget team sent the home-town crowd away happy with last night’s come-from-behind victory in its first game of the Midget Tier 2 Provincial championship.

After giving up two goals to Port Moody in the first period, the Quesnel lads came back with three unanswered markers, including its first at the one-second mark of the opening period.

Quesnel goalie Jakob Drapeau was outstanding between the pipes turning back 48 Port Moody shots, including a penalty shot.

Quesnel goes up against its nemesis from the north (Prince George) today (March 19) at 4:15 p.m.
