Correlieu Secondary School Cross Country runners were hitting all the right strides earlier this month in Vancouver.

Ruby and Claire Nicholas raced at Jericho Beach for high school provincials.

Ruby came in 12th place with a time of just over 20 minutes, one of the highest placings of all time for a Correlieu runner.

Claire came in the top 100 of the junior race. There were over 300 runners from across the province competing in each category.

Ruby and Claire took home hardware at regionals earlier in the year, hosted in Quesnel, with Ruby winning the senior event and Claire taking bronze in the junior.

After a year of nearly no high school athletic competitions, cross-country and volleyball are back underway.
