Despite what you may have read, UFC headliner Rory McDonald is not from Kelowna, but a local boy.
This Saturday, MacDonald takes on (The Prodigy) BJ Penn in Seattle.
The odds makers are on the side of the Canadian this time, at almost a 3-1 favourite.
This will be MacDonald’s sixth time in the octagon for the UFC, with ontly a single loss to his name.
MacDonald came to MMA at 14, taking part in his first professional bout at 16, which his parents had to sign a waiver for, before moving to Montreal to continue his training.
The bout will be showing on Sports Net at 2 p.m.
