Stones, arrows, pucks lead to medals for Quesnel at the 55+ BC Games

Archery, hockey and curling were Quesnel's medal-winning sports

Quesnel brought home a handful of medals at the 55+ BC Games hosted in Salmon Arm in September.

The mens hockey team, the Goldpanners, representing Zone 9 took the gold beating five other teams. The final match was against Langley, which the Goldpanners previously lost to in the tournament but the Quesnel team pulled out a huge 8-4 victory.

Archery was another big win for Quesnel with two of Quesnel's shooters taking home medals. Dale Chapplow won the games' gold medal and Stu Murray, president of the Quesnel River Archers took home the silver.

The mens curling team also had an impressive showing and took home the bronze medal at the games. Team Hedden was lead by Blair Hedden, the other members of the team were:
