Quesnel's Pee Wee Thunder took on the Williams Lake Timberwolves on home ice for their first game of the season Sept. 20.
The team won both games, ending the first game with a score of 8-2 followed by a final score of 9-3 for the second game.
The next day they would face the Timberwolves once more this time at the Cariboo Memorial Complex in Williams Lake, bringing in another triumph for Quesnel with a score of 6-3.
On the weekend of Sept. 27 the Quesnel arena hosted three days of hockey.
The first game played by our local team pitted them against Vanderhoof. Quesnel dominated with a score of 11-7.
In the morning of Sept. 27, the 100 Mile House team tried their luck at beating the Pee Wee Thunder but with no success.
The final score was 8-1 in favour of Quesnel.
The evening game against Prince George Tier 2 would prove to be the challenge and the Pee Wee Thunder suffered their first loss with a score of 13-4 in favour of the visiting team.
The final day of this weekend of pee wee hockey, Quesnel first took on Williams Lake with a final score of 12-4 in favour of the Pee Wee Thunder.
The Thunder then dominated Prince George Tier 3, brining in a 13-0 triumph and sending the visiting team home with a loss.
Oct. 10 – 12, Quesnel's Pee Wee Thunder played five games at the Cariboo Memorial Complex in Williams.
The Quesnel team lost the first game to Prince George Tier 2 9-5, but bounced back with a 8-2 win against Kitimat.
The Thunder then faced Prince George Tier 3, the final score was 8-3 in favour of Quesnel.
It was then time to face the home team, the Williams Lake Timberwolves, for Quesnel's third game of the weekend.
The victory went to the visiting team with a score of 7-2 in favour of the Pee Wee Thunder.
On the final day of skating it was down to Pee Wee Thunder and Prince George Tier 3 as the faced off competing for first place. The teams were well matched but the Prince George team proved too tough to beat and Quesnel suffered a 5-7 loss.
The Pee Thunder still proved they are a tough team to beat, bringing a second place win back to Quesnel.
On Oct. 18, Pee Wee Thunder faced the Pee Wee Wranglers at the Canlan Ice Sports - South Cariboo Recreation Centre in 100 Mile House.
The teams played two games. The first game went hands down to Pee Wee Thunder with a final score of 11-3.
The second game against 100 Mile House provided the Quesnel team with tough competition, it was a close game with a final score of 4-3 in favour of the Wranglers.
On Oct. 24, Pee Wee Thunder won a victory over Prince George Tier 3 with a final score of 14-1.
It was another win for Quesnel against Prince George the following day.
The final score was 14-1 in favour of Pee Wee Thunder.
The Saturday afternoon game on Oct. 25 Quesnel's Pee Wee Thunder skated in for a 4-4 tie with the 100 Mile House Wranglers.
On Sunday, Quesnel was pitted against 100 Mile House for another match and this time Pee Wee Thunder was going for the win not just a tie and with a score of 12-4 the Wrangles were sent home in defeat.
With one tie and four losses Quesnel's Pee Wee Thunder is skating in for a successful season.
