Terrace River Kings now 1-1 in Coy Cup action

Defending champs Dawson Creek drops its opening match

The Terrace Rivers Kings won 6-3 on Wednesday night, (March 29) bouncing back from their Game 1 loss to the host Quesnel Kangaroos by upsetting the defending champion Dawson Creek Canucks in Coy Cup action.

It was a physical matchup that the River Kings took hold of early, scoring their first goal exactly one minute into the game, carried a 3-1 lead out of the first period, and doubled it by the end of the game.

It was the Canucks’ first game of the tournament. On Thursday night at 8 p.m. they take on the Kangaroos who are 1-0 after taking down the River Kings in the tournament kickoff game.
