As the summer hits high gear and organized sport hits a lull, individuals take sport into their own hands in venues around the city. Summer can be especially hard for hockey lovers, but if you’re missing your favourite winter sport, you can lace up your runners and grab a stick you're not afraid to shred on cement and head to west Quesnel for a little road hockey where drop–in has been organized. It happens every Thursday and Sunday at 5:30 p.m. at the Lewis Drive Rink. Organizers want to keep the players 16+. For more information email lewishockey@groups.facebook.com.
