Local kids, teens and adults are participating in a March Break workshop with puppeteer and ventriloquist Kellie Haines this week.
Haines performed in Quesnel last November as part of the Quesnel and District Arts Council’s (QDAC) family show lineup.
While here, she and QDAC member Cathy Heinzelman came up with the idea for the workshop, which involves singing, dancing, building a puppet and learning and practising ventriloquism.
The workshop ran from March 25 to 28, with a performance for the residents at Dunrovin Park Lodge this afternoon, March 29.
The puppets include frog superheroes, aliens from Jupiter obsessed Kentucky Fried Chicken, fashionable cats — and more.
