Pre-Christmas craft fairs get underway in Quesnel

Craft fairs are an opportunity to get holiday shopping done early

The holidays will be here before you know it.

One of the first pre-Christmas craft fairs in Quesnel got underway on Friday, Nov. 4, at the Quesnel and District Seniors’ Centre with an array of tables offering wood art, festive decor, chocolates and more.

“The snow is kind of nice to show it is Christmas and maybe get in the mood,” Marion Gordon said, alluding to the weather outside.

The craft fair at the Seniors’ Centre serves as a fundraiser, with table rentals supporting the not-for-profit organization for which Gordon is a coordinator and director.

It will continue Saturday, Nov. 5, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Another pre-Christmas craft fair hosted by BC Online Craft Fair and Red Bluff Pickles and Baked Goods is scheduled to take place at the Seniors’ Centre on Saturday, Nov. 12, starting at 1 p.m.

On Facebook, Bethel Church lead pastor Monte Harrop said they are excited about the upcoming Christmas season and have launched a website designed to be a one-stop for everything Christmas-related coming up in Quesnel for the entire family.

The website is available at www.christmasinquesnel.ca.
