PHOTOS: Truck fire extinguished near Moffat Bridge in Quesnel

An older model truck caught on fire in the morning of Thursday, April 21

The Quesnel Fire Department was able to quickly extinguish a truck fire in the morning of Thursday, April 21.

Emergency crews were called to a road close to the parking lot with the sani-dump just before 9:30 a.m. Bystanders tried to knock down the blaze with handheld fire extinguishers, but were unable to completely stop the fire.

When crews arrived, they found an older model truck on fire. The fire appeared to originate near the hinge of the hood, in the engine compartment.

There appeared to be no injuries in the blaze.
