Submitted to the Observer

The Quesnel Technics Gymnastics Acro team will be performing at the 2022 Canadian Gymnaestrada in West Edmonton, Alberta from Thursday, June 30 to Tuesday, July 5.

Gymnaestrada is an event that celebrates movement and physical activity in a non-competitive environment while capturing the true essence of the “Active for Life” philosophy of sport and recreation.

The Quesnel Acro team, which consists of their coach Taylor O’Flynn and 10 athletes (Justine Biller, Thea MacDonald, Shelby Lust, Kamryn Grant, Eden Pelletier, Addison Strang, Avery Strang, Hope Kastrukoff, Katelynne Singer, and Khloe Murray), has been practicing weekly since September to prepare for this event.

They will participate in several workshops and perform their group routine twice while in Edmonton. Their routine includes choreographed group dance moves, various gymnastics skills and pyramids.

We wish the team the best of luck in Edmonton!
